actually i think your seat of the pants gain could be found in a CAI. a lot of people on here do not like them for fear of hydrolock, and that is a concern if you are always forging water or going fast through water, by the way as fun as those things are to do any damage by doing that will NEVER be covered under warranty, so I went to outerwears and had a pre-filter put over my cai.

I put a 180 thermostat in while I was waiting for my stage 2 chip to get here and my mpg's seem to drop imediately even after the chip was installed. I took the 180 out and went back to the stock one and the mpg's went back up.

13.5 and 14.5 sounds VERY low for highway milage. I have the exact same set up and am getting 24 mpg on hwy (hand calculated, computer is useless).

Added Airaid intake and Jet performance stage 2 clip today. I can feel the difference but I don't know if I will get better gas mileage. I should have read this tread first..Now I feel like I should have bought Stage 1 clip

I went from stock to Jet 2. You can definately feel a small increase in horsepower. I'd guess 5-10 but fuel mileage dropped from 14.5 to 13.5. Sucko, but I just can't seem to pull it off. I've used 87 and 91 and can't tell a difference.
