I pulled two behind my 07 with an auto. Did ok, a little sluggish through the mountaind though. A lot will depend on 3.8/3.6 engine, auto/man and gearing.

You'll be fine. There's guys pulling big fun boats around with their Jeeps.

Post pics of your Jeep and Jet Ski, I've been wanting one for a long time.

Jet skis are NOT hard to pull...I pulled mine behind a honda civic before I got my Jeep. With the JKU, even lifted on 37's, I don't even notice that it's back there.

I hauled two three seatters just about 300 miles (from Sioux Falls SD to Minneapolis MN) with a fully loaded JKU, a little trouble going uphill against the wind on the interstate, but then again I have that trouble when I’m not pulling anything but other than that no problem.

If you tow for a long distance just make sure you have 75-140 gear fluid in your rear diff as recommended in the owners manual, otherwise Jetski's aren't that heavy so you should have no problem

Default Max tow pkg needed?

Hey guys I'm new here and planning on grabbing a '13 sport unlimited. The model I'm looking at comes with the "reg" tow pkg with 3.21. I have a 2012 sea doo which is on the heavy side (bout 1200lbs) when gas filled. My question is should I push for "max" tow pkg with 3.73 or is reg ok?

Yes, get the max tow. There is a vast feel difference in the 3.21 and 3.73 gears. I wish I had gotten 3.73 when I got my Jeep.

I pull an 18 foot runabout with zero problem. 4.10, 3.6 auto. I believe total weight is around 3,000-3,400 with trailer. Trailer has brakes which I expect helps. I towed it around two hours each way last weekend. No problems.
