Default Jet Stage 1 Chip

Does anyone have any feedback on this chip in a slightly modified (I.E 34's, 2.5" TF BB) 2011 JKU? It claims gains of up to 25hp, better low end torque and better gas mileage. Any testaments?? Is it worth the $300?

The JK has been out since late 2006, and I have never seen a review for a JET chip. After a quick search for info on it, I can see why.

I'd look at Superchips or Diablo Or Hypertech or whoever else, one of the tuners that does things other than just tuning.

I honestly can't see you gaining anywhere near 25hp, at least not with the 3.8L. At that price id say your better off with a superchip as it has a lot more functions such as code readers, tire adjustment, tpms disable along with different tunes for performance

Thanks for reply. I figured the HP gains were impossible with a chip...superchip, jet or any other. I came across the Joey Redmons TJ write up and it was the first I've seen Jet Chips mentioned.

There's plenty of superchip posts, so no need to share thoughts on that here.

Thanks again.

I don't think it's impossible. Some of the other tuners claim around 20hp, so 25 could just be some variance in the dyno used.

But all of those numbers are way up in the rpm range where most of us rarely, if ever, go. Who is going to cruise at 4500-5000 rpm so they can get the full 20 or 25 HP...
