gotta 08 JK with 6sp. im having ATS build an automatic for it. has anyone done a swap like this. i did a auto to NV4500 in my 12v. i was just wondering about the wiring and computer issues. i got big plans on this build. 5.5" Rock Krawler lift. Currie Dana 60s on 40s. Front/rear air lockers. hydraulic steering. cage. just to name a few. any help is greatly appreciated

 

This will be interesting. I've seen a few people swap in a stock JK auto trans. It was quite the mess. Took a few months messing with the computer and eventually it worked. Swapping in a none JK trans? I can't see how that would ever be able to work with the JK computer. Those that swap to the stock auto have the computer flashed to an auto, but that is not an option for you (unless they are building a beefed up JK Auto with the same gear ratios). Best bet is to junk the electronics.

 

thanks invest2m4. its a stock auto just built by ATS. we are a diesel shop and did a favor for them so they are returning the favor. you reckon a junk yard harness and computer will do? if reflash dont work
