Default JK acceleration sucks

My 08 jk has terrible acceleration compared to my moms 2012 jk. What can I do to improve my acceleration? It's like if I want to get it to accelerate then It has to go over 4,000 RPMs. Both jks are stock Sahara unlimiteds.

Swap rides with your mom.

How much money are you willing to put into the 3.8?

Gears ( even on stock auto ), supercharger or hemi swap. Gears are the cheapest solution to help with power. 3.8s respond really well with 4.88s or deeper

If I had the cash to blow on a super charger I think I'd go sprintex. Twin screw = lower RPM boost. RIPP is pretty active on this forum, and try to tell you different..but they are trying to get your $.(as any business) so I don't fault them, just research on your personal needs/wants before you buy and you should be happy with whatever u choose to do.

Shorter tires?

You can't really compare the two, they have completely different engines and transmissions. Nothing cheap is going to make you happy regarding a direct comparison, so learn to live with the performance, or start saving.

Yeah I would definitely say twin screw over centrifugal anyday, I don't care what vehicle it is.

Yea ... Sprintbooster makes it "feel" faster. 1st mod and love it.
My vote is regear. Esp with the Pre 12 auto.
