Default JK axles into a XJ ..

anyone done this sort of swap. We are saving everything after my axles are taken out and hoping to use em for our XJ .. that we are working on right now ...

anyone know anyone who would know more on it???

I was searching around last night for JK axles and came across several pages of information on what you're looking for.

Just do a google search for "jk axles" or something like that.
You could also just type in exactly what you're looking for and you'll find the same pages.

I've done some Xj swaps. They turn out very nice.

Wow, looks awesome. Any more finished product pics? Do you have to shorten the width of the axle?

I only have a few pics of the swap. We left the axles full width.

Just curious what you did about the steering. Did you keep the XJ stuff or use the JK stuff?

Heres the list, fabbed a new drag link, moved the spring buckets inward, added adjustable control arms (corrected caster), new drive shafts and yoke flange, built new rear brake lines, spring perches. We kept the JK tie rod set up. All in all, it was about a week job. Don't forget you'll have to change wheels, 5 on 5.
