hey what D.O.T is the factory brak e fluid???
when changing brake lines do you sugest to use the same one or its better a new one???
is there a better one than the factory??

DOT 3 recommended, DOT 4 acceptable if 3 is not available

brake fluid is not available, then DOT 4 is acceptable. Use only recommended
brake fluids.

The maintenance schedule doesn't mention flushing the system. Doing so every two years will prevent system corrosion and other problems.

You must have your manual right next to you,, I gave him the cliff note version.

D.O.T 571.106 what does that mean????

I think that is a standard for the brake hoses.

edit to add:
A google search reveals it also means the hose must be compatible with Brake Fluid SAE J1703, which includes DOT 3.
