1. Look at how far out it sticks
2. The angles on the top are too steep...for my taste
3. The left and right corners stick out even farther than the middle.
and 4. Look at that space for a winch. You could ift two winches in there.

Just my $.02

Dude, don't you sell for Jeeperman? Why don't you try to push a sale instead of bashing their product. I would have totally bought through you since you're on this board, but it doesn't look like you even believe in the products that you promote... what's up with that?
I totally do sell them, but cant i still have a opinion. I really like the bottom one but the top one is just wierd looking. I am not bashing the product either Like i said i really like one of those and i really like the rear.

Everybody has a differant of opinion on what they like and that is why we offer so many quality products.

Hope i didnt upset to many people.

"Bashing their product"? In all fairness, I think he just gave his own personal and honest opinion as to how it looked to him just as you have. Now, if he talked smack about it while pimping another like product, that I might consider to be "bashing".

Now, having said all that, are you really suggesting that our vendors should be "pushing a sale" on you? I don't know about anyone else, but for me personally, I think I would rather have an honest vendor not afraid to share his opinion than an a dishonest saleman that's bent on pushing a sale. But hey, that's just me.

Regarding the bumper, I personally love the full lenght one but I think I may need to wait and see the stubby one finished and maybe with some hoops on before I can state an honest opinion of my own.

True, very true. A great salesman has an honest opinion about all of the products that company sells. All he was doing was giving his honest opinion about the bumper. Wayoflife, you know how to hit people with the true, including me.

I agree. If you are looking at a product, you wouldn't want a whole bunch of sales being thrown in your face. If they are too pushy, they might not get a sale at all.

I guess I did kinda jump to conclusions. I should have waited to see how it turns out before I picked the bumpers desing apart.

One definite downside of the stubby style bumpers is less protection (the whole purpose of a bumper). Any collision from either front quarter is going to hurt a lot more.

That's one point nobody can argue with. I never even thought of that.

As if the factory plastic bumper ends are going to do anything to protect your Jeep?

I was thinking more along the lines of the little collisions... like just barely clipping a tree on the trail. If you have a full width bumper, you might lose a few fillings from the shock, and bend up your bumper a bit... but with a stubby bumper, If that tree impacts your wheel head on, you're likely to bend/break things a lot more important and expensive.
