Default JK Dana 30 upgrade or not?

I have an 07 Sahara. D44 in the rear with an ARB air locker and D30 up front. I've already re-geared both to 5.13. I want to upgrade to a Dynatrac Pro Rock 44 up front but it's 5k with the locker, gears, axles & upgrades I want.

I've already had ORE weld in their C Gussets to beef it up a bit. Is it worth installing sleeves and an ARB air locker and just keeping it till it breaks, saving 3K in the process or should I just not put anymore money into the D30.

Any thoughts?

Depends on the kind of wheeling your doing...but i would say.... sleeve it ( cheap enough ) and wheel it.

I agree with this--especially that "depends on the kind of wheeling" part. Sleeves would be a good bet, and if you really think that you wheel hard, maybe save your pennies for that new axle. But, don't be in a rush to spend that $3K difference just because folks on this board are happy to help you spend your hard-earned money.

Agreed! All depends on your wheeling or future plans of wheeling. If you're headin' to the rock gardens then I'd say don't waste the money "beefing" up your 30 and save for a 44, if like me, you do mostly trail blazin', overlanding type excursions then gear that 30, put in some Truetracs, toss in some chromoly shafts, gusset the C's, sleeve it too if you got the loot and go!
