Default Jk exhaust

I have a 2008 Wrangler X and I am wanting to know the best sounding exhaust system. I do not want one that sounds like a Honda Civic, I want it to be throaty and street legal. ThanksClick image for larger version

a great sounding one is the gibson dual exhaust...however...you lose back pressure with it and lose low end torque and a whole bunch of other bad losses. so in my opinion it wasnt worth the trade off. however, if you just go to a local exhaust shop they can put on a magnaflow muffler that will make it sound amazing. it is a single 2.5 out put in stead of dual 2.5 pipes. i wanted the gibson sooo bad because of sound....but sound isnt as important and backpressure and torque and hp

I've had a Magnaflow on almost every vehicle I've owned. Hard to beat the sound, great quality, and easy install. I've put my money elsewhere to this point, but that's on my list.

x2, I knew with the addition of my EVO lever rear set up I was going to get the Dynomax installed as part of the deal by ORE. I guess I could have requested another manufacturer, however, I am so glad I didn't. I cannot believe how great it sounds, very deep, no drone or bad resonance at any RPM, no crappy, ricey sound either!

MBRP here, non offroad version. Sounds great, easy install - stainless steel looks much better than the stock rust bucket. I know I could have painted the stocker, this was more fun, more expensive, but less paint fumes :(

I actually went through this same dilemma...ended going with a Cherry Bomb exhaust from Pep Boys. Had a local muffler shop weld it up stock location. Sound is very deep and nice....not ricey!!

I have the MBRP 409 SS Non-offroad version. Very nice welds with a well designed muffler.

Overall it keeps pretty much a low tone throughout the rpm band. It gets louder with the engine but by 4k my engine is actually louder if not the same decibel as the exhaust do to my intake. At the lower rpms it gurgles a little when I get off the gas. It never becomes droning even at highway speeds of 60 to 80 mph.

I've had exhausts on all my vehicles and this by far is the best sounding one I've ever had.

That's my exhaust! Please tell me what setup that is. That is the perfect blend IMO
