AFE high tuck 3 inch. Sounds great and doesn't hang down like stock. You can order it with a hidden tip or a fancy tip. I went for hidden and love it

As far as I know 3" makes you lose to much back pressure and exhaust velocity. 2.5 inch gives you more power. Damn 3.8

If you have a good shop around you have them make you a cat back with whatever muffler you want. I did this with a resonator delete and flowmaster supper 44

I went with Rusty's offroad exhaust. Its an axleback, which was fine with me because you're not going to get any performance gains out of any of them. The Cherrybomb pro muffler sounds good, is fully welded, looks indestructable, and tucks up way higher than stock. The best part is it can be had for less than $200. I'm local so I picked mine up at Rusty's for I think it was 176 otd. A couple of pics before and after I painted with black high temp paint...

Well, I think anything compared to stock is "loud" seeing as I couldn't even hear the stock exhaust. This one definitely isn't overly loud IMO. Has a really nice growl on startup and low RPMs...can be considered a little ricey if wound out. As far as drone, I drive on the interstate everyday to and from work..about 25 miles one way. The sound really mellows out once I hit overdrive (manual, 6th gear). I can still here it but not enough to irritate the crap out me. I don't even notice it anymore. I must say, it sounded good on the trail too..lots of low speed crawling on trails at a local ORV park. Hope this helps.

I bought my jk with a gibson dual outlet catback muffler, it had unbareble drone, replaced it with the dynomax rockcrawler cat back and no drone in the cab at all, totaly pleased with the exception of the exhaust tip now looks rough after 1 michigan winter.

now I have a cracked exhaust manifold and need to pull the trigger on some headers

I did a turn down with the dynomax ultra flo muffler. It was very simple and the muffler was only $70. It is the same muffler used in the rock crawler exhaust kit. If you have the money go for the whole kit if not do what I did.
