Default Jk Headlights

Ive got a friend that makes custom projector hid headlights... He told me hes able to make me some for the jeep but i need to find some stock headlights for him. The newest i can find replacement lights for is the 06... Does anyone know where i can get some or maybe have some they dont need for some reason?

They are just standard 7" round lamps. Sorry mine went in the trash when I installed Cibie E-code lamps. The stock lamps are all plastic and the optics are not that great.

I think you upgrade the housings, wiring, and bulbs for cheaper than installing HIDs with about the same quality in light. If you do go HIDs be sure to get around 4k kelvin bulbs becuase anything higher will have a semi blue tint and personally I hate that crap. Anything lower than that and you will be blinding people. My volkswagen came with HIDs and one of the bulbs went out. It cost me $200 for a new bulb. Ouch! Another thing about HIDs is leveling, a lot of the new cars that come with HIDs have auto levelers. The cut off lines from these lights is pronounced that it looks kinda funny if your on a bumpy road and the lines keep bouncing up and down. I think it would even worse on a jeep. Just my 2 cents.

good point about the auto levelers...

Already planning on the 4k bulbs, i dislike the blue tint as well.

Being that they are standard 7 inch round lamps do you guys know any that bolt in? Or would any one bolt in? I have no experience with how the jeep lamps work. Maybe some pictures would help?

You should talk to this guy, he will answer all your questions and make suggestion on what to go with based on what your looking for. He does all orders through email because he doesn't want anyone ordering something that will not work for your wanting. Lighting is a lot more complicated than most people think. I say replace the wiring, housings, and bulbs and see what you get before going to HIDs. A jeep with projectors just seems kinda out of place to me.

no sense in hacking up headlights when there are already several bixenon 7" round applications out there. check out suvlights.com

I am looking at thier valeo-sylavania XE7r kit. If it isnt too deep. THe pasenger side has a power steering resevoir that might be a pain to move if its needed. I might order these this coming week.

$698/ea That's just insane. I'm sure they're nice, but that's alot of loot. If I spent $1400 on headlights.... the wife would casterate me.

if you read the fiine print it says $698 for the PAIR which is very reasonable for a bi-xenon replacement housing that is designed by an OEM supplier, not some APC junk.
