Default JK Lift

Greetings everyone. I am new to the forum and new to modifying jeeps. Ive owned four wranglers, three grand cherokees and two liberties...(1991, 1996, 2003, 1994 the wranglers...in that order). None were heavily modified but now I'm getting a 2010 JK Sport. My plan was to put a 3" lift and 35" tires but the more I look into it, the more confusing it gets. Im now finding out that I should put nothing larger than a 33" tire so that I don't have gearing issues. Mostly backroad driving, some highway, some very light off-roading (with my 2 and 4 year old boys, nothing crazy). Mostly the lift is just for looks but I've decided to go with a "zone off road" 3" with nitro shocks. I don't want to waste time and money on multiple sets of tires so I was wondering if anyone would have a picture of a two door JK with a three inch lift and 33" tires that they could post for my visual benefit?? This decision is harder than picking baby names! Thanks all and Im happy to be part of the forum!! -Joe

Do you want a lift for looks or just to fit tires. My understanding is we can go 33" with stock setup,'leveling kit helps. OR get a 2012 and run 35" without regearing

2012 2dr no lift ... & here's 33s .... Like a champ . So if you just want 33s you can do it stock . If you insist on that 3 inch lift I would recommend 35s

What gear ratio are you? And stick or auto? 3.73 are "ok" for 35s. If you are 4.10 then 35s will be nice. Let us know.
