I have it and love it. It has already been put to the test twice since I had it. The lock slide bent but because it actually hooks they couldn't get it out. As for the install, they had made some with the lock slide backwards. I thought that the slot in the base had been cut wrong but I called tuffy and they told me to turn the slide around and it worked great. I would also recommend getting shorter screws for the top mount. The ones that come with it are a little too long and I scratched the sides of the door when I slid it in also I haven't found a place to get a new key made around here. No one carries that type of blank. And lastly, if you have a mygig you will need to relocate the sat antenna, Mine lost reception from all satellites after I installed it. I read in another thread that tuffy was coming out with a relocation kit but haven't heard any more on that. All in all I am quit pleased with it. I work it a not so safe area of town and I have a half door model so locking the doors is some what useless. The cover has served me well. I'm glad I bought it. There are a few more threads in here where a tuffy rep has replied to some post. Check them out.

Besides that, if you didn't have one on there they could see that it was just a stock stereo, and probably just leave it alone.

You may be surprised what people will steal... Even if they end up not selling it, it was only 2 minutes out of their day to rip apart your dash.

Looks worth it to me. Especially if you have a MyGig.

Yeah for a MyGig maybe. But either way the insurance should cover it. I know it's more of a pain and it takes some time. If someone really wants it, they will get it, and cause more damage in the long run. Everyone lives and works in different areas, and everyone has a different oppinion on it. To each his own.
I'm looking at
http://www.tuffyproducts.com/p-213-1...l-console.aspx and http://www.tuffyproducts.com/p-188-1...d-console.aspx
I guess I just don't like the look of that thing. I do like most of all the other Tuffy products though. To each his own. LOL

Yeah, I'm likeing the tuffy security console also. Just waiting to read some more reviews first. see how people are liking it. I read a few on the rear security cover and some were complaining that it can scratch and dent the hatch. With the half doors, locking my doors is useless. I love the doors but to be able to secure some stuff would be nice. lookin at the mopar ad a trunk also. any one heve any experience with that?

Mygigs are being stolen and sold on ebay for $500 and more...but that is not the main reason I got it. I love the storage on top of this thing....massive amounts of room. The security is just a plus.
