Default JK modified to Tomb Raider style

I'm closer and closer to take docision of modifying my JK 2dr to Tomb Raider style.

There was very nice TJ done this way in the movie and I wonder if JK could also look so cool.

What do you think? I'm almost decided but still hesitate a little.

Personally I do not like the Jeeps that are modeled after the movie Jeeps like the Jurassic park or Tomb Raider. But to each their own.

^^ I feel the same way, but in addition, if you are going to replicate a movie vehicle, it should be as true of a replica as possible. In this case, the Tomb Raider is a TJ, I'm not sure how it would look on a JK and being that the roll bar modifications are pretty substantial I'd be concerned it would look like a cheap knockoff.

Why not just come up with some ideas of your own and make it your own design... who knows, maybe Hollywood will copy you someday :-)

You asked me what I think so....

I think you should do what will make you happy with YOUR Jeep.

It's not mine, nor is it anyone else's on this forum besides yours. When you see another Jeep on the highway, do you ask yourself "I wonder what they think of my Jeep?" I know damn well I don't because quite frankly I could give 1,000 rat's asses what they think about my Jeep or me for that matter. It's not theirs and it works damn well for me but maybe it wouldn't for someone else. That's what makes a Jeep a Jeep.... IMO

So I think that if you want to make your Jeep look like a Jeep in a movie; do it. After all, it is your Jeep.

I say go for it.

Looks like it'd be doable quite easily.

There was a 2008 JK for $8,000 a few months back, that the guy had already cut his roll bars off and turned it into a hunting rig.

Just throw on some Bushwacker Pocket Fenders, 33" tires, paint it Silver, and make the roll cage.

You'll be set.

Thanks for all thoughts.

I actually do not want to copy movie looks but to do something insipred by one.
I want it to be matching Jk style as much as possible.

Well, now I need to start working on sketches...
