jk pulling hard
Hi Guys,
i am having some problems with the alignment on my jeep (JKu), and need your help to resolve my problem.
So i know i wanted way to long but i finally got my first tier rotation and balance after 12k miles. I had the shop do an alignment as well. this is when everything went down hill... this was a 4x4 shop
The jeep always pulled to the right a bit but not to bad - nothing to complain about. but now the jeep is wondering on the road and a very big pull in both directions with road crown. sometimes not always when braking it will pull.
i have to keep correcting it on the road and going over 60 mph can get scary at times.
it really only wonders and pulls hard at highway speeds - witch i do most of the time - local streets it does pull but not that bad. the jeep will drive straight on flat roads and roads with little crown.
I don't know what could of gone wrong since you can't adjust much on the jeep anyways. this is my daily driver and weekend fun jeep so i would like to get it safe again
i don't have the before alignment specs and i don't have the complete alignment specs from the new alignment but here is what i have
new alignment
caster
front left - 4.7
front right - 4.7
camber
front left - 0.8
front right - 0.9
tow
front left - 15
front right - 10
total tow 25
i checked the axel center of the track bars and they both look centered
the shop i took it to was 4 wheel parts - they said adjustable ball joints could help - or i can get adjustable lower control arms. and mentioned a new drag link as well.
i thought with my brakes i don't need control arm - can i use both?
why would i need all of this when i thought the jeep was driving fine before
here is what i have on the jeep for your reference
pro comp 2.5 inch coil spring lift
fox 2.0 shocks
fox ats adjustable stabilizer
hellwig front sway bar
rubicon express geometry correction brackets
teraflex front and rear adjustable track bar
35 - 12.5 inch toyo open country at tiers with 20 inch rims
psi set at 30
please help - thank you

Start by rotating your tires...rule the cheap stuff out....if you have an ATS turn it up a little ( im on level 20 I Think)...that what its there for if your rig is wandering (not pulling)...second double check all tire psi...if that doesn't solve it i would recommend getting LCA that are adjustable....if you dont want to go that route buy cam bolts to push caster out...JK's should have at least 5* of positive caster....in my opinion

Hi Blowermax
as stated i got a rotation and thats when things went down hill. are you saying to go back to how they were before?
As for the ATS - i know how to adjust this but don't know what direction to go - if i am looking at it - do i turn it right or left to go higher
also going higher will do what?
the jeep is only pulling with road crown (both directions) and when going high way speeds
my 35 12.5 tiers are set at 30 psi
i don't go cheep so i would do the control arms if needed - should i do both front or just the lower
also can they be used with my brakes or do i get rid of the brakes for control arms
thanks
