Default JK rock sliders/rails

I am new to JK's, got mine 8/16. Looking at the side it looks like something is missing between the fender flares. I have been looking online at different rock sliders/rails. I am looking for suggestions on what is best as far as attachment points: directly to frame, to rockers, or both?
What I would like is something subtle looking that can also function as a step.
Not something that hangs down low or screams "look at me".
Any suggestions of where to look would be greatly apprieciated, either web sites or pics of yours.
I did a search here and not much came up. If I missed a thread please point me in the right direction!

Thanks!

Here's some more threads https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...t=rugged+ridge and https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/modified-jk-tech-2/rugged-ridge-rrc-side-armor-guards-31705/

I went with the Rugged Ridge ones - happy.

I have the Shrockworks and love them. I put some skateboard grip tape on them to keep them from getting slick when wet.

I just got my A to Z fab sliders put on Tuesday. I like them a lot. I'll get some pics when it stops raining.

In the end, it all depends on how hard you're gonna wheel.

If you're going to off-road, rock rails will give that a more "finished" look and provide real protection (if you chose good quality ones). I have Shrockworks and they're great. Just be prepared for a wait of 12-16 weeks for them.

Now, of course, that is Curtis, my son, driving it. He's pointed out to me, that in going to Sedona, Moab and Disney, he has accumulated more 4x4 miles in the Jeep than I have because I'm always having fun taking pictures.
