Default JK steering box to a JL steering box

Are they the same? As far as mounting points go and lines. I know I’ll need a bigger pitman arm but before I go into it, will it fit?

Well… you can measure your 4 mounting points and then measure the 4 points on a JL. As far as the lines go, I think the stock lines on the jk are a -6 a fitting, I don’t see why a JL would be different. If they are then adapters are easy to come by.

But why?

My stock one is leaking and the JL is much more beefier. I can also have this one drilled and tapped for hydro steer.

I didn’t know there was a size difference between the two. I swapped mine out a while back for the psc big bore box.

That’s good info though.

I got to looking more yesterday and it may mount up but even if it did, the head of it is so big I’d have to relocate the coolant reservoir and possibly other things. Lots of modifications need to be done.
