Default JK wheel & tire winter storage help.

Hi, I was looking to get some of your opinion on what i should do. Im planning on getting new wheels n tires for my JK and what i should od with my stock set. i have a two car wide carport and a large two story shed behind it. as of now, there is only a dirt ground in the shed and no stairs to get upstairs , ( ladder ) . it gets cold here (21 degrees right now ) , the only plavce i can store my stock wheels/tires will be in my shed.

Question: will it be safe just to stack the wheels on top of each other on the dirt ground? should i get a wooden pallet? should i stack them on top of each other or stand them up next to each other? my main concern is the ice cold weather during the winter months.

Any input would make me feel more comfortble. thnx guys/gals

Lay em flat on a non-concrete surface so they don't get flat-spotted. A pallet (or a couple of 2x4's) would be fine, just to keep em off the cold ground.

Do you plan on using them again, or are you just keeping them to put back on your Jeep if/when you sell it? If the latter, check the PSI once a year or so.

I sold mine (tires and rims) back to the dealer for $500. Kinda cheap, but I didn't wanna mess with em. There are folks who've sold em for quite a bit more than that on CL.

ok thanks , my plan for now is to keep them as a back up pair, dont have any plans on selling my jeep anytime soon! Just bought the Jeep and only 3,100 miles on them. Just wondering if i should buy another set of tire pressure stems for my new wheels or pay to have the stock ones taken out of the stock wheels??

Stems are cheap, just get new ones.

Unless you are referring to TPMS sensors. Then it's your call. If I could swing the money for a new set, Id certainly go that route.
