Default JKS adjustable track bar install question....

Reading through the install instructions it says to put the Jeep up on stands and use a hydraulic jack under the pumkin?? Looking at the track bar on the Jeep I'm thinking this can be done at grade and full load on the suspension. Am I missing something here of do you have to get the Jeep up to do this?

Just installed my replacement the other day with it sitting on the ground. Just a PITA to get the torque wrench in a place to use it correctly. Then again, i have around 4" of lift and flat fenders, so i have alot more room to work with.

Yes, it's very easy to do on the ground.

Set the track bar to the correct length and tighten the lock nut.

Set the track bar inplace and put the frame bolt in first. If the axle hole does not line up you can have someone move the steering wheel very slightly until it's perfect.

Tighten up the bolts - drive - and check again.

Less than an hour job!

I also did both on the ground. It helps to have another person to push on the body to get the axle centered....
