So if you're using JKS disconnects taking them completely off and keeping the sway bar neutral is the way to go? My concern is exactly as he posted... I don't want anything loose to puncture, rub or be flying around by any means.. Going on some serious stuff tomorrow that is all...

Well, sorta - the sway bar is still attached to one side. So, when you're stuffing things up and manouvering (sp?) over those rocks - where exactly is the disconnected side's pin now? Maybe it's safely outta the way, maybe it's digging into your tire?
It takes 20s to disconnect them completely. Pull four pins, pull out the disco's, wrap a bungee around the frame in a neutral position. (My bungees are pretty loose, and the bar stays in that spot.) You're done, and safe. Spend 10s and get iffy results.
