Default JKU diet

I just put my JKU on the scales and was surprised at the 4960 pound curb weight. I knew these were heavy and I have tried to limit any unnecessary weight in favor of a better power to weight ratio but damn. Just wondering if anyone else out there has thrown there JKU on the scales and what mods your running to get those numbers. I know the 37's are responsible for the majority on my obesity. I need a diet plan.

2012 JKU Sport no rails, stock bumpers, 37" Nittos, clayton long arm, bump stops, hard top, auto, D44 / D30, S/C, Full tank of gas, no passengers = 4,960#

Mine was right around 5400 if I remember right last fall. Heavy pig for sure. EVO sliders, RR front/rear bumpers, winch, 37/13.50s, PR44 front. I've added long arms since then which probably added 100lbs.

JKU Sport D30/44, full tank of gas, sliders, M.O.R.E front bumper, Genright Tire Carrier, Sports Cage, tools, no passengers, retread 35s, weight came in at 4920. Wonder how much the weight is going to change when I get my 37s installed.

Your local landfill or waste transfer stations have scales and will usually let you weigh for free or its like $2 if you want the weight printed out to be official I don't know what the truck stops charge

In my town we have a public weigh station. As mentioned already most waste facilities have a scale they will let you use.

Jeep shows the 4 door @ 4400*. I just add up each accessory as I put it on and get the total that way. I've read a couple of weights on Forums in the 6000* range. Definitely aids in bending an axle tube!!

Mine came in at 5500. 37s on beadlocks front and rear bumper, a winch and stock rubi armor. Kinda pissed I am this heavy considering the limited amount of armor.

Maybe it's time to go on a diet?

No spare setup unless off-road. Rear seat removal. Framed bumpers. Non Frame soft top.Pizza cutters instead of 12.5" tires. Fiberglass hood. Soft doors. Etc.
