Default JKU springs on a JK

I got some JKU springs and shocks from a friend of mine and I plan to put them on my '12 JK Sport. On top of that I will be getting a set of 1.75" spacers for the front and 1" for the rear as a leveling kit and add extra height. Will I experience any issues from doing this if I do nothing else?

Check the #'s on the springs to make sure they are the stiffer springs and you'll get lift out of them compared to your current spring #s. You wont have any problems since they are JK springs, everything is the same on all the JK models. It's just the spring rate that is different.

I have heard of people getting as much as 2" of lift from this swap depending on what springs you currently have vs. the springs you are installing. That added to the spacers might just put you up in the danger zone for premature driveshaft wear on your 2-door. Just a thought.

18/59 springs, shocks, Rubi 255/75/17 BFG tires and 17" wheels with spacers.

Next to stock sport with the same options on right before mods.

Highly recommend, but I do regret not adding the spacers like you are thinking about. I'm going to install a Teraflex leveling kit down the road.

What springs did you have before and how much lift did you actually end up with? I currently have 14/55's and am about to install 18/59's. I already have a 2" AEV spacer lift that I wanted to leave on, but am afraid I will end up with too much lift for the driveshafts to handle.

I had same as yours 14/55 and ended up with around 1.5-1.75" lift. Here is a couple pics with mine next to one with Mopar 2" lift. He has same size tires only all terrains and mine are mudders. He also has added goodies that weigh his down. He also paid a shit ton to have installed by dealership. A buddy and I installed in about 3-4 hours including spacers and using one of Eddie's write ups for reference. Worked out awesome.

Check out my albums I also have more pics next to stock Sahara, Rubicon, and sport 4 dr. Really regretting not adding leveling kit but still am happy. Check out thread show off your leveling kit. I think @ page 16-17 there is a white 2dr with those springs and leveling kit. Looks awesome. If you can't find let me know.

That white one does look really good. I believe I am going to just remove my spacer lift and install the 18/59's and Rubi shocks. I am just afraid it will be a bit much if I leave the spacers in there. Anyone know if I could use the rear spacer in the front?

If anything you could get a 1" spacer from Teraflex and install on front. I think adding the 4 dr springs would help if you were hauling a little extra. I still have some rake i'd like to level out a bit as well.

I put 4dr springs on mine with 3/4 spaced up front and a 1/4 in the rear and ran 35s. It sits dead level and still has awsome flex off road. I also did bump stop extensions and longer shocks with sway bar discos up front.
