Default Just got the lift ordered...

I just ordered a OME HD lift for my Unlimited Rubicon...Next I need to track down a place for tires. My plan for now is to keep the stock rims and upgrade the tire size to 285's. Im thinking of the BFGoodrench MK2's, the cheapest Ive found them is 201.00. Anyone have them and care to share thoughts on them, or any other comparable tire. Thanks.

Take a browse through the Wheels & Tires FAQ. Check the sections on backspace and wider tires on stock rims...

The OME HD is a good, basic lift. BFG KM2's are a good tire. I have the 35 inch KM2's on mine with the stock rims. My only complaint of the KM2's is the lack of being siped. It is my understanding that the KM2's are not the greatest on ice, and snow, because of not being siped and the outer most rubber of tire lugs gets colder quicker and does not release the packed snow as easily. Thae being said. I have used mine in fairly deep snow with good results. I do plan on getting a set of BFG AT's for winter use eventually and just use the KM2's for mud and trails. (Also, you can get the tires siped at a good tire dealer too.)

The KM2s are solid offroad performer in most conditions (except heavy mud) and they havegreat road manners.
