Default Just installed Monroe Reflex Shocks

Ordered a set from Rock Auto. With shipping they were $50 less than Auto-zone and Checker (O'Rielly) auto parts..

First thing I noticed is that my OEM (07 Unlimited 4dr ) shocks were/ are gas charged and still had quite a bit of firmness left (17,000 miles).

The new Monroe shocks did not feel more difficult to compress than the OEM. The pressure to compress them felt about equal when compressed side by side.

The test drive on the street revealed a much better ride. Expansion cracks in the road were hardly noticeable, whereas with the OEM shocks they were very jarring. Our expansion cracks actually rise about an inch due to the heat. Drove to an area that has a lot of pot holes and uneven transitions in the surface. The ride was much less jarring and I wasn't throw about in my seat as with the OEM shocks. I will drive it off-road tomorrow and see if the ride is more controllable; which I bet it will be.

They definitely give a smoother, more refined ride on the street and on gravel trails.

Do you have a update on these shocks now that they have some miles on them?

Some of AZ highways are old and they flat out suck. Nice to hear the shocks were an improvement!

Absolutely no complaints about them. Both on road and off road they are 10 times better than OEM.
