Default Just Installed SmittyBilt XRC Rock Sliders

I've was going crazy trying to figure out what brand and type of sliders I wanted to put on my JK. After looking at all of them ... prices, installation type, material, quality, etc .... I decided to go with a set of SmittyBilt XRC Rock Sliders. The bolt to the body like the stock Rubicon Sliders and have the additional protection of a rocker bar. Plus I found them online for $344 with Free Shipping. Not bad since they came UPS and the box was 60lbs ...

They came packed really well and the powder coating was perfect. They give you the option of drilling holes and riveting on a set of XRC emblems made out of Aluminum ... I decided to leave them off.

I had to drill one additional hole in the body to mount them. They mount by attaching to 5 holes on the side of the body and the 2 large holes in the bottom ... pretty much just like the Rubi rails and Sahara steps. They are solid as a rock installed and I can jump on them without them moving at all. The Rail is pretty close to the body so they do not do that well as a step.

They also cover the entire floor of the JK on the outside of the frame rail ...

Here are some pictures:

Smitty's description ...

Looks good. I've been looking at these for a while now. They would go great with my bumpers.
Do they feel sturdy, no flex in the middle?

Nah ... these things don't budge or flex at all ...

I am gonna put some larger washers on the bolts on the under side. The included washed seem a little small and just barely cover the slot the bolt goes through.

We've been running ours for over a year now and have dropped directly onto them, pivoted off of them on rocks and trees and they've held up pretty nicely.

Ok, So i've been trying to install my XRC on my lunch break in the rain lol, I can't seem to get those 6 bolts installed that go through the Pinch seam into the rock rails. There just doesn't seem to be enough room to get the bolt and washer up there in the rock rail.. If anyone can help or has any suggestions id really appreciate it as im starting to get aggravated

We used a 10mm closed end wrench and tape. Wow - in the rain...now that's dedication
