Default Just Ordered Lift question

I just ordered a 3" Teraflex w/Full Flex lift with shocks, JE Reel 1310 DS's front and rear. Am I missing anything? I want to make sure I cover everything now instead of on the trail. I also want a good on road machine also. Had to take advantage of the Memorial Day savings.

That Teraflex kit seems pretty complete and should give you a nice lift. Does the kit come with a front adjustable track bar? This may be needed to recenter the front axle.

No it does not, Is that something I should be concerned about? As with the Drive Shafts, some have said it would be fine and some not. After talking with the manufacturer, they said I would get more than 3" with a 2dr Wrangler and should consider getting them so I did. Hopefully I didnt get my arm pulled in that direction.

The front track bar will be the last little item to complete everything. The drive shafts are more of a luxury item for a 4 door with a lift but become more of an issue on the 2 doors. Even more so if you have an auto trans as the DS boot will get tore up on the transmission skid.

Sounds like you have made some good choices, enjoy.

good choice on the lift! I love my tera 3". Did you get the TeraFlex shocks, or something else? When I did my Tera 3" I bought JKS adj. track bars front and rear. A week later Teraflex released the new heavy duty solid steel track bars they sell now. doh!. of well, the JKS are fine. You WILL need either the trackbar bracket in the rear, or an adjustable track bar. My axle shifted so much in the rear that my tire was against my lower control arm before I put the JKS on. If I was you I would get an adjustable for the front. The bracket is fine in the rear, but you are going to need to recenter the front as well. If you use a bracket in the front, you also need a drop pitman arm. I think the adj. track is a better solution.

That was smart getting the driveshafts. If you have an auto you will lose the front stock one pretty fast otherwise. My driveshaft boot tore off in the first few minutes of the first trail after my lift. Sounds like you got a kick ass lift. don't forget the photos!!!

Thanks for the input. I got the shocks with the lift from TF. I am thinking the rear trackbar bracket comes with the kit. Hopefully they will be fine. I have a manual shift but went ahead and got the shafts for future upgrades I figured if I get the rear might as well get the front. Just wondering if I need the front trackbar right off the bat......will it be that bad or can I live with it for awhile. Sounds like I just need to order it and get it over with. Thanks

the bracket in the rear will work fine, but imo you should go ahead and add the front adjustable. are you sure it doesnt come with a front adjustable? what kit exactly did you order? can you link it? I think I saw a 3" with full flex arms that came with a rear bracket and a front adjustable but I could be wrong.

I dont think it does. Not even on the TF website since they recommend it. So looks like that will be another needed purchase.

I don't think it does either. if you are spending all the cash on control arms and stuff I think you should get the track arm also. why just get some geometry correct? *knock on wood* I don't have esp bas lights and traction control issues like I had with my 2" superlift. I think it is all due to the correct geometry. plus the jeep drives better now than it did then. no darty, wandering, crab walking, or any of that nonsense. At 85mpf you can turn loose of the wheel and the jeep goes straight as an arrow down the highway.

Whats another $200 now that you spent that much? lol. its worth it. I promise.

Yes you'll want a front track bar. You'll get 4+ inches with that lift on a 2 door and your front axle will shift pretty far.
