I see you have exact setup that I ordered. How do you like it so far? Did you also get the rear trackbar?

Also, if that lift actually gets 4+ on 2drs, can you actually put 37's? I am still going with 35's but it seems like you would be able to.

Thanks

I am pretty sure you can clear 37s if you chop the flenders and the pinch seam. I think the factory front bumper can get in the way too. Not sure on that, or what bumper you have though.

When I first put on my Tera 3" I got like 5" front and 4" rear. It has settled a tiny bit, but I still got over 4" out of it. It clears my 35s by a long ways. I think Teraflex says that the 3" rating is for a four door with a hardtop and aftermarket bumpers or something. I know I saw in the tera catalog that it said something about 2 door soft tops getting up to 5" lift.

When you do the lift, there is a couple spots in the instructions (especially for the part on the rear end) that is unclear, and will tell you to do steps that get in the way on the next step. Like the bolts for the swaybar links couldn't be accessed after the bumpstop pad was installed. I think. I could be wrong on that. I am just saying pay attention to what you are doing and don't tighten it down until yo have everything done.

I like it a lot, when I got mine I got the jks front and rear trackarms like I said cause the solid tera ones were not out yet, and I got the kit with just 4 flex arms. I just bought the other 4 flex arms for it. I got the OME long travel shocks instead of the teraflex shocks also, but I heard the tera shocks are nice.

I'm really happy with my lift so far. I did go with front and rear trackbars. WIth the flex arms and front and rear trackbars it really is an absolutely complete package. My axles are perfectly centered front and rear, my caster is perfect, my ESP works perfectly.

BigBlueJK is correct about the rear axle pads. Make those the very last thing you put on as you'll just end up pulling them back off for something (I forget what).

I'd suggest following the teraflex instructions, but definately look at the 4" writeup in the project section. For the 3" kit the flex arms are just an "add-on" so they don't really conver installing them at the same time you're isntalling the lift. But the 4" writeup give you an idea of the correct order to install things.

I highly recommend using a spring compressor (you can get a cheapo at harbor freight for $12).

Give yourself plenty of time to get it done. It took me 3 days doing it solo. Because of weather one day was limited to just a few hours of work. Plus I'm very meticulous and it was my first time doing it. Just be patient and the install should go smoothly. The teraflex guys are great at answering any questions you have during the install.

exactly, the arms are like a last minute add on thing. I think they had different instructions that were loose from the real ones even. I forgot there was a tera short arm right up on here. Def. look at that. I didn't need a spring compressor when I did mine, but some people do. I put the frame of my jeep on big 12 ton jacks, and when I put the springs in I undid the shocks and swaybar and track bar then used a jackstand on one side of the axle as I lowered the other with a jack. If you do it one side at a time you can do it without compressors probably. I rented one at autozone though... I just never used it. If you have an autozone local to you then you can give them a $50 deposit and borrow one, then you get all your money back when you return it. The one you need from them they call a strut spring compressor. Their coil spring compressor goes in the middle of the spring, the strut one goes on the outside.

When doing the install feel free to PM me if you need anything I might know. Joe from Teraflex is on here and very knowledgeable. So is Doc from what I have seen. Don;t forget pics!!!

Thanks for the info Big Blue and Doc! Appreciate your advise and will tackle this myself instead of getting a shop to do it. I like to try and do things myself if it looks easy enough as the suspension on the Jeep looks fairly simple. Not only do I save, but I also learn my vehicles that way. Again thanks. Kit should be in early next week.

Ditto. 3 days for me solo too. That's with air tools and no lift. (jack and stands)
It cracks me up hearing people balk at how long it took me to lift it.
Them: "Wow! Why did it take so long? I did mine in a few hours."
Me: "No, you did PART of a lift in a few hours."

Like Doc said, take your time and enjoy getting to know your Jeep.

Well I just ordered my TF front track bar and steering stabilizer today. Talked to Doug and Joe and they just received a new shipment of springs in. Thats what was holding up my delivery but its only about a week since I ordered it so not bad of a wait.

I was doing my normal and asking questions to Joe about how much lift you can get with this lift on a 2dr. I was getting confused that I will get close to 5" if not that. Most wranglers with 4" can fit 37's......He said I would have no problem with 37's on my 2dr Since I have not ordered my tires yet, since the wheels I wanted were backordered, has anyone ran 37's with this lift?
