K&n intake problem. Need help....
Just put a k&n intake system on the other day and its been great. Didn't think i would get any real inprovement on accel/and power that you could actually feel.
But we could notice enough gain that even my wife could tell the difference on the highway.
But.. Here my problem today travling into town.i started to get some rough ideling at two different traffic lights. Pulled over and checked all the hoses and a.m.s nothing was off or loss. But after that it ran fine on the way home.
Do i need to reset the computer someway for the increase of air/fuel mixture or just leave things alone now that it running o.k.?

Pretty typical ECM stumble as it scratches it's tiny little brain to figure things out. By the time you've ran a tank full of fuel through it should be pretty stable and have things figured out. A couple good blasts down a freeway on ramp at near full throttle will speed up the process unless that's how you usually drive.
Also with oiled filter media the dirt that adheres to it becomes part of the filtration media. There could be some very very minor difference in flow, but certainly not enough to cause a stumble in the engine. There are also some myths about oiled filter media causing some sensors and throttle bodies to gum up. This myth gets parroted all over the internet and is largely if not wholly unsubstantiated. A properly oiled filter as the way the K&N one comes out of the box will not create any issues and the only foreseeable issues would be if you recharged the filter until it was literally dripping with oil.
I hope that helps and let us know after you get a tank full of fuel through if the issue arises again.

I had a CAI last year, and I had exactly the same problem.
I know that many Jeeper don't have any problem, but it wasn't my case
I sold it to a JK-Forum member.
I never understood why it didn't worked for me. Like said before, there's a lot of myths and bad information about CAI here.

getns, this sounds like a trouble I first had with my throttle body spacer. I first installed it and it ran fine. I must admitt I went against the install instruction and did not disconnect the battery. About a month later I had a trouble light come on and took it to the dealer .. they said the neede to scan the whole vehicle because the trouble code said something like intake/exhaust leak ... bla bla.
Anyways long story short, I removed it and ran the jeep for a month then reinstalled it correctly by unplugging the batt to let the computer reset and it's been running like a charm ...
Just a thought !
