Default KC Windshield Lights options

I have seen a few installs on the KC Windshield Lights and they all look great. The thing is that I’ve seen different brackets on them and not certain (beside the warrior bracket) which is the bracket on the DONAHOE RACING JK (which I do like the best). Does some one know?

In addition, pros and con’s with either of the brackets?

Well, just thinking of the field of vision and glare in the hood if any.

The Donahoe racing one is a one-off for them by KC.

no idea if it is being, or will be made, there is another thread on this here: https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/modified-jk-tech-2/kc-lights-winshield-install-4111/

I just looked at those. They are nearly identical to the warriar mounts.

I’ve checked that thread; actually the Rescue Green JK pic is from there.

The question was if some knew about the bracket on the DONAHOE RACING JK.

In addition, pros and con’s with either of the brackets; thinking of the field of vision and glare in the hood.

Thanks

try page 4 of that thread. That question was answered there, that is why i posted the link, so you could see the whole exchange, not just a single post. I thought it made more sense that way.

As i said earlier, in that thread, according to WOL, those are one-off mounts made by KC FOR Donahoe Racing's Sema Rig.

I wish they where available, i would buy them. I like the standard KC ones, but they appear to block some of the field of view out the front window, the ones shown on Donahoe's rig are a bit more outboard, and look like they would just hang in the area behind the post and rearview mirror that is already blocked anyhow. I had the better half hold a coffee can lid out there and move it around to see what it did/didnt block & it seems if they were to be mounted more outboard they block less view (downside is a tree/branch would have a better chance of taking them out)

I was on a search for the makers of these mounts and true, they are one-off's. During my search however, a manufacturer is going to start designing something similar to these. It was Sun Peformance and they believe they'll have something out in about 60 days, so stay tuned... we'll see what they come up with. I'd buy them. In looking at a topo view of the jeep, I think you'd be OK w/the doors opening... if not, I think you could shorten the leash as to how far they do open so you don't bump your mirrors into them. I like the idea of them being a little further out for vision related challenges.
