Hi All,

Are the BFG KM2s undergoing a re-design, or is a replacement model coming to market? Maybe they're just looking to clear 2011's stock?

I don't know, but when I went to TireRack I got the following:

Size: 35X12.5R17
Sidewall Style: Raised White Letters
Serv. Desc: 119Q
Load Range: D
UTQG: None Price: $335.00 (each) Closeout
Estimated Availability: In Stock

w ww.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=BFGoodrich&tireModel=Mud-Terrain+T%2FA+KM2&partnum=525QR7KM2RWL&vehicleSear ch=false&fromCompare1=yes

Also, if you just Google "KM2 Closeout" it seems as though many of the retailers are all running the "promo"

I'm new to all of this, so please go easy

Thanks,
Rob

Wow, very interesting. Maybe a question for our discount tire rep to give some insight on.

Doesn't look like a "closeout" price!

to be honest that is actually fairly cheap for them, I was keeping an eye on the 37 inch variant and they have skyrocketed to almost 450 a tire in the past few months from Discount tire and on other sites. The 35's were closer to 380 so taking 50 bucks off each tire isn't such a bad deal. They may finally be undergoing a new design to keep up with the sales lost from the new MTRK from Goodyear.

Yep. It would help us in snow country with packed ice/snow. Kind of like the STTs .

discount tire offers siping at several locations, should be easy to get your current tires done

as far as a new design, I just purchased a set pf 35X12.50-17 BFG Mud Terrains with a current date code and they seem to be narrower than
the older ones
