I have 35,000 miles and half the tread left on my KM2's. Not as impressive as 80k km but a testimonial all the same.

baja MTZ over claws... directionals only work in one direction, unless you know you'll never get stuck

I have the KM2s on my ZJ and don't get a lot of miles on them. They are one tough tire. They will take as much abuse as any and probably more than most. They're noisy on the road. (load range E) My son has the MTZ's and they are quiet on the road and give a better ride, but not many miles on them. I just put MTRs w/kevlar on my new UR and I wish I would have tried the MTZs for a beter ride, but wanted to try the GYs. I probably would have gone with the KM2s if they would have been quieter. Might be the load range doing it though.

I have 10k miles on my KM2 and they are about 1/4 worn... so I project good life. My point is on the MKT, they typically don't fare well so when one person gets 80k km on them, I am wondering how they managed that.... in a smart a$$ way of course.

I have MTZ's and put about 20k miles on them and they are about 2/3rds tread still. I do rotate often and include the spare though.

Everyone I have known that had the baja claws hated them.

But everyone I know with MTZ's love em.

not that this is scientific but more a funny coincidence that the only baja claws i have seen have been mostly pretty much worn out i looked at a bunch and including KM2 and ended up with MTZ's love them so far but only 2000 miles on them
