If you don't want to wait or change size, have you considered the Toyo MT Open Country (cheaper) or Mickey Thompson MTZ (a bit more expensive)? Or even the Nitto Mud Grapplers (cheaper)?

I am running KM2s, but I almost went with the Toyos and I have used the MTZs in the past.
I dont know about that. Online I can get a 35x1250x15" KM2 for 20-30+ per tire cheaper than any other of the quality tires. the MTR/kevlar's are 219 compared to the 201.99 of the BFG's. All in all cost is still a big factor for me at the moment. I'm willing to pay a bit more, BUT its gonna dig into my wheeling budget for a little while. I've been doing research on the GY MTR/K and like them except that bad mud reviews they've got. I'm in TN and there is ALOT of thick sticky clay. I need something that can clear mud. All in all I need a tire that is more of a jack of all trades however. Which is why i was going with the KM2's. From what I've seen, the TOYO's are by FAR the most expensive tire out there, they do have a fantastic reputation though... but have alot more unsprung weight and cost quite a bit more.

EDIT: the toyo's in a 35x12.50x15 are 291 a tire.... so by far not cheaper

For the Pro-Comps, remember they always have that buy three get one free deal. So that cuts the price down by about 225 bucks.

But the direct competitor is the MTR with Kevlar.

I wish they had that deal going on right now... I would probably swing with the ProComp Extreme MTR then. Now I'm leaning to the MTRK but havent made up my mind yet.

You could always go with the Cooper STT. They are Cheaper than the KM2's and will wear and wheel just as hard. They are a very durable and tough tire. I havent met many that have run them and not liked them.

I see the 35x13.5-15 Toyo's for about $250. I too have my eye on them. I haven't decided if I truly want a MT yet, or if I will go with the Goodyear Duratracs instead. However, if I decide MT's, I am really eyeing those Toyo MT's. They really look good. I have just started looking for reviews for them. Glad to see that others here think they are ok. However, if I get them, I am probably getting 35x12.5-17 (really about 13.2" wide), and they are about $298.

did you call discount tire on the KM2's? we ordered some, it took about 2.5-3 weeks to get them in 285/75/16...again, not sure if your 15" wheel size is whats holding you up. if the website says back ordered, call them to verify.

It's deffinitely that particular size that's backordered. I just ordered 35x12.50x18 yesterday and they will be in tomorrow.

Default Goodyear MTR/K

Yea I've been calling everyone today and its the specific 35x1250x15 thats on backorder. And its nationwide.

Toyo's are from what I find considered the best out there, but they have some draw backs. Price being one of them, and unsprung weight being the second. Although you get what you pay for and I do like the toyos. I just wasnt huge on the 35x1350x15. The extra inch width I was afraid would cause added rubbing.

I've been working with Allen at 4wheelparts today and we struck a pretty decent deal on 5 Goodyear MTR/K's mounted balanced and shipped. SOO, in aprox 2 weeks I'll have some new kevlar walled MTR's to drool over. From everything I can find it should be a fantastic alternative.

I wanted to THANK everyone for their input!
