Default knocking noise

When i accelerate from a stop, hit a bump or turn hard left im hearing a knocking noise from the front end some times. Just started sunday after off-roading saturday. Didnt find anything loose or rubbing but theres some oily fluid on the driver side shock mount and axle. Would a blown shock make any noise?

Go push down hard on your front bumper, when it comes up it should bounce maybe once then a little. If it seems to rock or bounce more on that side, your shock is blown. Pic of the shock and oily stuff would be nice. Also, as far as the knock, sometimes shock bolts get loose off-road, check the top and bottom, also for a blown bushing. Swaylinks can get loose too, also causing a knock or clank.

I am having this exact sane issue. But I hadn't taken it off roading since I got my old man emu shocks. My mechanic friend said it had to be a blown/faulty shock since the oil seems to originate from my front left shock. Also if it were from my steering box there would be oil on more stuff from above. Also no oil on my garage floor so it must have blown while I was driving. But I hadn't done any off roading. We are sending pics and shock serial number back to Northridge where I bought it and might have a warrenty claim. Anyone else have any ideas?

I have the same issue, only without the oily discharge... I did a little research and found that both of my front shocks have blown out bushings on the top of the shock mount. Now I just have to find a place where I can buy upper shock mount bushings.
