Default Lack of storage space.

I've looked around and i thought i would make a thread about it so myself and others can see how you store your equipment. I personaly have a bit of a delima only having a 2dr in order to keep all my tools i would have to remove the back seat. i am currently using my "tool box" 24x24x16 Projector case which i would have to remove the back seat any time i go wheeling. I would like to keep all these tools with me as i may get called out to work on a snow plow. I also have another case i do usualy have to keep with me for work its roughly the same size and can not be broken down into a smaller case as it is a Demo unit (i can just throw it in the back seat during the work week or take it out when i get to the office)

In my "tool box" i have

4way tire wrench
combination wrench set (full set)
Socket set 3/8-1/2(full set)
Torx Bit set
Emergency blanket
Emergency 12V halogen light
Flash light
Tow Strap
"chain ups"
Spare batteries for flash lights.
Grease
Thread locker
Anti Seize
Rubber Mallet
D-Ring Shackles
Assorted Adjustable wrenches
Pliers
Wire strippers
Socket Extension set
Spare electrical wire
Zip ties
Hack Saw

(and other small things i cant remember them all)

I've got a Pocket Pods thing on my swing gate. It holds all the little stuff. My quad wrench is under my seat and my torx kit, ratchet set (small), tire pressure gauge, extra screws and stuff, gloves, toque, scarf, shop towels, lock antifreeze, 2 lockblade knives, small flashlight, and retract-a-bit screwdriver all fit. There might be another handful of odds and ends in there but I don't remember it all. It works for me. If you've got bigger stuff the G.E.A.R. bag might be better for you. I looked into that, too. You can also get the same type of setup for your seats and roll cage.

Im trying to stay away from removing the back seat. Rite now to put my tool box in the back i have to remove the back seat. After having passengers in the back of a JK without a seat due to a break down on the trial i prefer to leave it in.

I do have on order Two GEAR seat covers and a GEAR tailgate cover. I like the idea of using Ammo cans since they would fit in the area behind the back seat.
Does anyone have luck with the colapseable 4-Way tire iron? as the one i have is well used and a little bent,

Go to your local army navy supply. I have good amount of packs and storage all over my rollbars. Just pick up some good size zipties and zipem to. Some packs will even fit on your head reast. Smiitybuilt makes those gear seatcovers and also a reartailgate cover but all the packs on those you can buy individualy and find your needs for them. Hope that helps.

My back seat is gone, but I cut a couple of slots in the bottom and ratchet strapped it to the footman's loops. It's a Stanley tool box.

I have the same problem....I need room for my fishing gear...Rods, tackle, waders, boots small Ice chest, Chairs..etc..Then throw in any off road gear and I'm done!..I'm usually transporting myself plus a few more, so I need the back seat. I'm thinking about adding a roof rack and storing everything up top...I'm even thinking about trading in my 2dr for a 4dr..Just for the added room..

I'm trying to figure out how to best utilize the space on the fenderwells. Useless space otherwise. Might try to make a back platform with sides that go up past that "shelf" area. Especially on a 4 door, there is a lot of space there.

Instead of a 4-way I have a Gorilla Power Wrench I got from Summit. It is a telescoping handle 1/2" drive curved wrench with dual flip sockets. I got mine from Summit Racing for $15.
