largest size tire on OEM 17" wheels?

largest size tire on OEM 17" wheels?

Will 315/70R16s fit on factory 17" rubicon wheels? Any info would be greatly appreciated, its for a friends Jeep.

A 16" tire won't fit on a 17".

whoops. I meant 17". Will 35x12.5 work on factory 17" rims?

Yes. There's guys running 40"s on stock wheels.

LOL!! it's all good and yes, you can run a 35x12.50 on a factory 17" wheel. you might find that some tire shops won't want to install it but, a lot of people purposefully run that setup as the narrow wheel helps to keep your bead on when aired down. i've run it before too and it works well.
