Default Largest tires without looking like mad 4wheeler

Hi, I am thinking about larger tires for my 4dr white auto JK. I have 32in MT Hercules tires now on stock rims. I think they have 4.5 BS on the rims too. I am not sure I want to have 35 inch tires as I really dont want to have too many people stare at my JK. I think maybe 33 or 34 tires may do the trick and look somewhat stock. What do you guys think???

Thanks Jay

I think you may be on the wrong forum

Correction - stock wheels have 6.25" backspacing. That said, you do realize that being "discreet" with a JK is almost a non existing thing . You could keep a stock JK and drive with doors and top off, and you'll have plenty of people stare at it . That's just part of the fun. Pick the size of tires that'll work for what you plan on doing with the JK - not based off of the attention it might get . Tires are not cheap when you go up in size, and you don't want to redo it over again. Also, a lot of 35s don't measure out at 35s but will be closer to a 33.5 - 34" anyway. Your call

I think we all secretly (or not so secretly) love it when people stare at our rides with jealousy. Otherwise we might be driving beige Corollas. Just a nice side benefit of having a nice wheeling rig!

On an Unlimited I think 33s, sticking with 285 width, would look more stockish. Attached is a pic of my 2 door with 33s and 2.5 lift. I think it looks a bit on the modified side, well excluding my bumpers, but proportional to the lift.

The attention is probably one of the best parts about owning and driving a Jeep with big tires and a lift.

I have 35's and they look stock to me :-). We drove past an unlimited with stock tires and my son said "what's wrong with that guys Jeep".

I had 33's installed and when I went to pick it up, I could barely see a difference. The shop owner said "I told you so....do you want the 35's now?". He pulled off the 33's and put the 35's on and I couldn't be happier with them. Plus, I still get 15 mpg....or is that bad??? ;-)

Just my .02 cents.
