Default LCA skids

For those of you who have welded on lower control arm skids...did you remove the control arm from the mount first? Will it hurt the bushing if left in while welding? Just wondering before I go to burning these in, less of a pain if I can leave them bolted up while welding.

I'd definitely reccomend unbolting the LCA to prevent cooking the bushing and allowing you more work space.
