Default Lets talk bumpers!!

Looking for front and rear bumpers. My first choice is very easy, LOD front stubby and rear with tire carrier. But,if I want to save a little cash, who makes something like them that takes the factory fog lights up front and has the looks and function of LOD??

I know it does for the mid width but not real sure about the stubby.

LOD was #1 on my list but after reading different threads. I do not want to wait months after ordering one. So I'm just going with the XHD stubby.

Which lift and tyre size you running?
Generally stubby's and stingers only look best with Jeeps with 37's or more.
With smaller Jeeps they tend to be a bit poser like..
So if you have like 35's or smaller I'd suggest the LoD midwith. Looks great with all the same function. As for the rear LoD's. Get the one with the GenII tyre carrier. And if you have some cash left then get the jerry can mounts and trail rack, or the skid plate for the front bumper.
You can't go wrong with LoD, they're great bumpers!
But I've heard they have quite a long waiting list or delivery time or something like that?

AEV front and rears are also great. I'd highly recommend them. Check out the vid on youtube where they show the rear AEV bumper. Very informative!

He's lifted on 35"s so he won't look like any poser. I look like more of one than he does. lol

If the LOD stubby is to much for you then your two best options are the Rugged Ridge XHD modular system (can add a stinger, shackles, etc) or the Pure Jeep stubbie. My only complaint on the XHD having installed one at Marvin's garage day is the nuts that hold on the fogs. They're TINY, like 4mm or something ridiculous. There's 4 of them but you'll likely have to buy a special wrench just to put them on.

Rugged Ridge XHD ($369)

Pure Jeep ($489)

Expedition One ($329)

Yeah forgot bout the PJ stubby. That could totally work.
Go check out Eddie's JK when he had the FT 3" Lift with 35". He had the PJ stubby and PJ rear bumper. Looked pretty cool. Also with the 4.5bs on his wheels his JK looked nice and fat-bad-ass-cool from the front

I just put in the olympic smuggler rear because it had a winch mount and contrary to fears on this board there has been no rattling or noise whatsoever...

now if PJ would come out with a bolt on stinger...

or look around for a few other bolt on stinger options...would be a nice looking bumper

as a side comment, as anyone else noticed that the bumper/slider costs for the JK seem to be almost double what they were on our TJs?

Am I wrong on this?
