Default Let's talk Chromoly axle shafts

What brand should I buy and why?

Who should I get them from and why?

I want to pay as little as possible for the best quality! In other words I don't want the cheapest if I have to sacrifice quality or customer service. But i also wont pay top dollar just because of the name on the door.

Northridge is having a sale on Ten Factory axles right now. They are excellent! Good quality steel is expensive and they have a great warranty as well. I like mine and carry the originals as spares on multi day trips.

Default I went with.....

When I upgraded the rear, originally I went with Nitro shafts. Needless to say they bent within the first year and they wouldn't warranty the parts. Needing a new set, I went with Ten Factory. They have an excellent reputation and are more willing to work with you on warranty items. Therefore, I suggest Ten Factory..especially if Northridge is running a special and you get free shipping.

G2 and Ten Factory have the same warranty, much better than the others on the market. G2's were quite a bit cheaper back when I was looking at replacement shafts. (some previous posts even indicated that G2 actually sold re-branded Ten Factory shafts when they ran out of their own...)

Give G2 a chance. Great warranty. Decent price. Plus I got them @ 4 wheel part and they pressed on everything for$45 for the rears.

G2 and Ten Factory were the only two that warrantied bent flanges. (don't know if any others have updated their policies in the last year or so.)

I ended with TenFactory only because G2's were on a nationwide back-order at the time.

Northridge and Ten Factory. They pressed the bearings on for me for my '09 X.
