Default Leveling

Hello All,

New guy here. I hope I can get some help. I have a 08 Rubicon and have installed a Rugged Ridge bumber and skid plate along with a superwinch 9.0. Also a 2" skyjacker lift with 33" M/T Tires.

My front end is 2.5 inches lower than my front. Measurement taken from wheel to fender. Is this normal? I would like to level it out. It looks like my jeep is going down hill. Thanks

The JKs all have a forward rake to them and by adding the bumper and winch it most likely pulled the front end down even more.
There are lots of options out there raise the front end up, basic spacer, adjustable spacers, longer springs etc. You just need to figure out how much money you want to spend to get rid of the rake, somewhere between $150 and $800

Thanks, I did look at some stock ones today and they did have some rake. I will be adding a new rear bumper soon that will most likly be heavier than the stock , so that might help a little also. After that I will take a look and see what I may do. This is just like my snowmobile, do I need it? No, but I want it....

Springs are cheap and are a better alternative to spacers for your situation. Why? Because while spacers will level you out, you're still dealing with a spring rate not designed for all the weight you added. I'd call Dave @ Northridge and he'll fire you off the appropriate set of HD springs from Old Man Emu.

I will look into those. I have the Skyjacker Nitro shocks on the front now, a better spring is something to consider. Thanks!

With the 2.5 springs, do I have to change out the track bars etc to center the axle? Or will I be ok with the 2.5" and not have complications and additional modifications.
