Leveling kit and 35's
I went to a local shop today that installs a lot of lifts. I wanted a l
ift kit to go with a new set of 35's I will be installing. They said all I need is a leveling kit and I'll be fine. Really?
I don't think a two inch or so leveling kit is equivalent to a 2.5" lift. Thoughts?
I do offroad and climb but nothing considered extreme. I just want to be able to adequately clear the new 35's.

You can do a leveling kit & 35's if you are willing to do a little choppin' on the pinch seem & depending if you're getting new wheels make sure you have enough backspace. If keeping the OEM wheels get a set of 1.5" wheel spacers...also good to note, if you haven't already mutilated the air dam underneath you will need to remove or modify it as well or the 35's will shred it. Also wouldn't hurt to chop the stock front bumper for increased articulation if you're playin' in the rocks.
With stock wheels you will need wheel spacers. You will also need to cut the pinch seams (as mentioned above), as well as chop your fenders.
Since you have a Rubicon, the rock rails will need to be chopped in the rear.
