I currently have a rough country 2.5 lift kit on my jeep, and the ride is terrible. Can I get away with replacing just the shocks? And if so what would be the best one in the 9000xl series? Or would it be best to start from scratch with a new lift?

I got the JKS 2" springs with the King shocks and I have a stiff ride (to OEM). I think its your springs that give you the hard ride. Are you still driving stock bumpers? Throw some weight (tools) in back and lower your air pressure to 24 psi. Over time they will soften up

I put on the teraflex 2.5 lift with bilstein 5100 shocks this weekend, the ride is fantastic, sort of stiff but handles great and not rough by any means and I have src bumpers front and rear too. I also think its the springs that make up most of the ride quality, shocks play a part though. I would look into replacing just the springs, I like my teraflex a lot but other companies like rock krawler sells just the 2.5 lift springs.
