Lift with 32"s...How high?
I should get my JK Rubi. (2dr) sometime this summer. I am planning to add new bumpers+winch. I will add a suspension lift as well. I will keep the stock 32"s and once I need new tires I will probably switch to 33". I will never go 35".
My question is: how much lift do most people have with their stock 32"s. If you can post some picts, that would be very much appreciated as well. Furthermore,it would be great if you could comment on some of the pro and con of your selected lift.
As of right now, I am thinking a 2" (Old Man Emu) or 2.5" (Black Diamond) suspension lift.
cheers.

People are putting 35's on their jeeps with the OME and Black Diamond suspesnions you mentioned. They might just be alittle much for 33's.

I started a thread in the show & tell looking for OME lift installs you might check that out as well

Check my gallery for before and after on the OME lift with stock 32's. Later this week I'm adding 33" KM2's on AEV wheels which is as big as I'll go until I retire the JK from DD duty. I'll add some pics after the tire/wheel swap.
A BB lift is all you really need to compensate for the extra weight of bumpers and a winch and run 32's or 33's. The OME lift will net 3+ inches especially on the lighter 2 door plus you have a shorter rear driveshaft to consider. The more angle you add to the driveshaft, the more vibration you will feel.

You could go with a 1" BL and call it good. Or just add some 3/4" spacers all the way around. These two options are alot cheaper also.

Nice. Was it easy to install? How long did it take?

It wasn't bad. A couple of hours including the trackbars that I added. Jack stands and a good heavy floor jack are a must. Air tools are a big plus. Go to the write-up section and read the one on the 3" economy lift. Here are a few tips:
Go to your local auto parts store and "rent" a spring compressor (Advance "sells" you the tool in case you forget to bring it back and then gives you a complete refund when you do) for the front springs. The write up claims you can get them in without one but you have to disconnect everything including the front drive shaft and it's still a fight. Be extremely careful using a spring compressor!! By using that tool I was able to easily slip the longer springs in place without disconnecting the drive shaft or worrying about stretching my brake lines (even with them unbolted from the frame they were still maxed out). You won't need the compressor on the shorter rear springs.
The basic setup is the same for front and back: jack it up and securely block under the frame then use the jack to slowly lower the axle (wheels off for max droop). I say slowly so that you can watch and listen for the ESP wires that you missed start to stretch. The write up tells you to cut some of the clips that secure the wiring but it's pretty easy to work the clips out of the holes in the frame and then pop them back in when you're done. Just go slow and stop lowering a couple of times to check for anything getting pulled tight.
You could do the job without an impact wrench but it will take much longer!!
If you decide to add the adjustable track bars just be sure to grease the hell out of the upper bushings (grease the bushings before you press them into the eye and then grease the frame mount) or they will bind and "pop" as they move (I have the FT ones, other brands have different designs).
If you don't have the tools to do it safely find a friend that does or pay a shop to do the work
Hope this helps!
