Default Lift for 35s/37s with LOW COD

I have a 2014 rubicon unlimited on its way to my doorstep and I am currently trying to figure out what lift to run. I had a 2012 2 door sport that I bought bilstein 5100s (2-3.5" lift) for with the intent to buy a lift kit to go along with them but I recently sold my 2 door in order to buy my new rubicon.

So having said that, the bilsteins are new and in box and I am looking to keep them and use them for a lift. Originally I wanted to run 35s but now I am considering running 37s. I want to keep the lowest center of gravity possible but still allow for max travel and flex.

I have been looking at the 2.5" max travel system from rock krawler as well as the 3.5" mid arm flex system for them. Not sure if the 3.5" mid arm is bolt on or not? I am not wanting to spend over $1500. I am also wanting to do this the right way the first time around.

Keep in mind my jeep is my only vehicle and is used for daily commutes to work and school.. so driveablitly and handling on the road is key. However, I want to piece a lift together that will allow my jeep to really perform on that weekend trip to the trails.

I would really appreciate everyones input!

Thanks,

Collin

You can do the 2.5" flex kit with some metalcloak flares and you'll be fine with 37's. They claim you can run 37's on just their flares without any lift.

Bingo- low COG and re-using your shocks.

I'm running the 3.5" with trail mod flares with 35" tires. They look small. I'm going to 37" tires soon.

Metalcloak is good stuff and easy to part together...
Any good lift can be pieced together, and with 2.5 getting castor back isn't too big of a deal your still within the limits for good handling. The 4dr will handle ALOT better than a 2dr stability and road manners of a long wheelbase are very nice....you won't need to do adjustable arms right away....

I don't like budget lifts ie spacers......

Recommend: lift springs, longer shocks, 4"+ crowne brake lines, adjustable tracbars, longer sway bars links, steering stabalizer shock and mounts for bigger tires....the rest can fall into place from there as you choose....
You have the shocks already which is a good chunk of $ on a quality kit so the rest is easy.

Trimming stock fenders and pinch seam with 37s will get you there on top of that, or metalcloak fenders.

Be sure to do your front axle c gussets, sleeves and ball joints....with 35s or 37s....

Good luck and can't wait to see pics....
