Default Lift advice sought

I have made the decision to do the skyjacker 2inch lift and ordered the hydro shocks. I realize most folks on this site prefer teraflex. That point is moot now.

What i want to know is what else i will need to buy so this is done right the first time (am paying a local garage to do it as I am ignorant when it comes to working on this stuff). I own a hammer and a phillips screw driver. That's it. Sorry.

Do i get/need a transfer case drop kit?
Do i need to buy stuff so the front axle stays centered?
Am also reading about adjustable track bars???

I have been reading the forums so i am not trying to be lazy. Would rather buy everything upfront so as to aviod any wobble issues, etc. i have already bought the lift kit with shocks.

I want to buy it, put it on and be done with it. Appreciate your help.

Transfer case drop kits are for the TJ's. At 2 inches you won't need a track bar but your front axle will be out of center by maybe a quarter inch if that so you could buy the adjustable track bar to recenter you want.

Thanks for that...what is the implication of my axle being off a quarter of an inch?

nothing really, it will still drive the same. by off i mean slightly more to the drivers side than stock because of the geometry of the front end. The more you go up the more the stock length of the track bar pulls the axle out the drivers side. i put in an adjustable more for the fact that it bugged me that the axle wasn't centered.

IsThis because u did a lot of off roading. Mine is primarily a daily driver. Should I expect as many issues if this is the case?

pulling to the right seems to be a frequent issue even after a small lift. if adjustable track bars fix that, i'd go with those. i just did a 2.5" bb and got the rear adjustable track bar. very easy to install. i'm gonna follow this thread for sure to see if a front one will help the problem.
