Lift/alignment question
So I just bought a 2.5" spacer lift will I need an alignment? I've gear it both ways yes and no. I believe I will have to correct my steering will but that's not a problem.
The castor will be off and your steering will need to be adjusted. The toe in and camber will not change. An alignment shop will not be able to do anything for you unless you have either cam bolts for the lower control arms or adjustable control arms. So unless you get one of the two you would be wasting your money.
Spacer lift, right? So I will assume that you do not have adjustable control arms or cams? And you don't have adjustable track bars? And you don't have adjust ball joints?
What does this mean?
You can't adjust the caster.
You can't adjust the camber.
You can't center the axles.
What can you do? Center the steering wheel and adjust the Toe-In/Out. Why not just go up to the write-ups area, open the Index at the top, and find the DIY alignment write-up.

Thanks so I see I have future purchases to make but they will have to wait going to Hawaii in July. But I should be able to get a rear traction bar relocation bracket to center my axles and also ball join cam bolt kit to adjust camber and caster right?
IF the caster is too low for your liking, THEN think about a set of adjustable arms. (read up on cam bolts before you choose to install them)
IF you bend your C's and the camber is out of spec, THEN think about adjustable ball joints.
My previous post was just indicating what you would actually be paying for if you went to an alignment shop. And what you would be throwing money away for, as they could not adjust it without adding components.

I've been running teraflex 2.5 inch bb.
No you will not need to get an alignment. This is my 5th jeep.
Not going rock crawling anymore, just wanted it to look Right with a little more ground clearance for some mud. If You listen to most people. On the forums you will spend a lot of money you don't need to.

I am wanting it to sit a little higher that's why I went with the 2.5". I have a work truck so my wife drives it during the week we put around 1k miles in a month. Lots a highway miles for trips and go wheeling few times a year it's hard to go with our busy lifestyle. I just want to do it right from the get go so I don't have to spend the extra money on tires later.
