Lift and Disco
No, it's not a dance from the 70's.
I'm thisclose to getting the RC 2.5" lift.
However, I already have the JKS Quicker Disconnects, and they're only a few months old, but they're the 0-2" links.
My question is, will I be okay winding out the current discos to the max length and keeping them rather than dropping another $140 or so to get the longer pieces?
I know, poor planning on my part, but I found the funds for the lift unexpectedly.

I would guess that a 0.5" isn't going to make much difference. That however depends on whether your so called 2.5" lift gives you 2.5, 3, etc. But, even then I don't know how much it really would affect you.
I had made the same mistake. But I used the JKS anyway. No problems at all.
FYI- you don't want to run the JKS's out to max length- that would be asking for a breakage since there would not be enough thread length to prevent it from snapping at some point. You'll want to run them out to the mid-point of the threaded section. This will give you enough to prevent them from breaking. I ran like that for quite a few months and never had any issue.
I got very lucky though- my wife bought a JK, and we needed disco's for hers. So we ordered the longer ones which I then put on my JK and gave her my old ones.
So their's your solution- go buy a 2nd JK

Actually, by max length, I was referring to the 7 11/16" (I believe) on the part specs. Is that about the length the halfway mark would deliver?
