Default Lift help

I bought my 08 2 door with a 2.5 inch budget boost skyjacker lift and currie anti rock sway bar in the front. the flex I am getting Is not as much as I would like. the anti Rock wouldn't be limiting it right? if I got a different companies coils would that increase the flex? I have not heard great things about skyjacker and that's why I wonder. if I put some rock krawler coils and bilstein shocks would that be ok? is there anything else I would want to do? any help would be great!!!

I would disconnect the anti rock next you went wheeling just to test the theory that it may be limiting your flex.

It takes a few minutes if you don't have quick disconnects but it isn't too hard. Most built Jeeps have a pin you pull to disco and the Rubi does it with a button in the cab. You will gain a great deal of flex disconnected from the sway bar but hook back up before street driving.

this isn't the stock disconnects or quick disconnects. it's the currie anti rock away bars.

Right but it still has the same basic links right? I've never run one but from what I've read and heard it doesn't perform as well on the street as a sway bar and isn't as free off road as fully disconnected. It becomes a compromise depending on how stiff you are set.

is that look right to just undo? and is there a way to change the stiffness of the sway bar? or is it set to one setting?

I don't think they are adjustable but yes that is the link you disconnect. You can undo them from the axle and wire tie them up or remove both ends. Make sure the bar ends are secure to and won't fall in the way. I don't know how much more flex you will get but there should be some more with it disco'd.

If you like it disconnected I would find someone who wants one and trade for their stock parts. Then buy quick discos.

ok. I will see if that helps. If I did go the route of new coils, if I got just 4 new coils is that all I need? I would probably do new coils and switch to bilsteins or fox or somethin like that.

Coils should be set up for your specific vehicle. You should be able to flex just up to the stops. If they are too soft you will nail the stops. To stiff and you won't get flex. Both affect whether your ride is stiff and bouncy or soft and sloppy. A balanced coil setup will give smooth predictable handling. Shocks are to dampen rough driving. Unless Tokyo are bottoming out your shocks or if they are made for a vehicle three times your weight flex wouldn't be a problem.
