Default Lift Help????????

Alright I've talked to all of the off road stores within a 100 miles of me on what types of lifts do they carry or prefer. I've gotten everything from pro comp, rough country, sky jacket, mopar lift kits( which are super pricey) rubicon express, rancho and teraflex. I've read for months on these and just need some guidance from someone who is experienced not just an opinion! I have a 2014 jeep wrangler unlimited stock. I need a like kit that will last but not break my wallet! I'm looking to run 35 tires but do not want a lift kit that I will have to buy new drivetrain! I do want a suspension lift with shocks and coils, I'm even open to the lower end short arm kits. Please if you can help it would be greatly appreciated

Teraflex makes a pretty complete 2.5" spring kit that won't break the bank. They are also a great company who will stand behind their product, offer great support and are active on the forums.

With ours you can run the stock driveshaft (for a while at least, depends on how much you flex) but you will need to address the exhaust be it a spacer, or a cross over pipe like we offer. P/N RS720003.
Good luck.
Look to our 3" SPORT. You can up grade arms down the road.

3" SPORT on 35's

People on here have lost driveshafts with 2.5" lifts. So if you need some kind of a guarantee, leave it stock. There are flares on the market that state you can run 37's with no lift, might be an option for you.

If you are willing to take the small chance of losing a driveshaft and/or replacing components, then open and read the two threads stuck right to the top of this modified area. (if you haven't already.) Lots of good stuff there on a variety of topics, including some information about the various components you might want to know about when you make the decision of which lift is right for you.

Teraflex, Rancho, AEV, Rock Krawler, Synergy and MetalCloak are a few of the popular lift mfg's for people here. Decide what type of lift fits your needs, look past the prices, and compare the components included.

I'm not sure how those people wheel to lose a drive shaft lol but..

OP I just installed the teraflex 2.5 kit on my 2014 took me 4-5 hrs to finish it was easy to install.

Bought mine from 4wparts and a Rubicon express exhaust spacers and some axles end seals for my front diff all out the door came to $1013

After the Install I went for a small test right away I had no DW or any shaking from the lift it was/is much stuffer then stock I have a Rubicon.

I like the lift a lot I also have a src front bumper qith a 10k steel winch on the front and have had 0 sagging when I put on the brakes the jeep does not noise dive like stock does

On the hiway any uneven bumps or dipps the jeep is smooth and recovers balance right away it does not rock like a boat does

The lift came 100% complete and I didn't hav to add anything, comes with a rear track bar mount that attaches to the diff and not the body frame comes with extended rear brake brackets and front sway bar links I used my rears on the front, I have been off roading qith the lift 2 Times now and I like it much much better then stock it glides on bumps and rocks and absorbs inpact pretty good too

Get the Teraflex leveling kit, wheels with 4.5" of back space or less, and 35s. If you wheel it, trim your fenders or buy flat fenders.

You'll gain virtually nothing over stock by spending $1000 on a lift kit. You will definitely gain issues such as your driveshaft going out eventually, handling issues, etc. There's always a really likely chance that you won't like how it rides either. The worst part of the deal is that after gaining nothing, you did make it a lot easier for a dealer to void your warranty.

Lifts are very overrated on JKs given how capable they are stock and how you can fit 35s without a lift.

I've got the AEV 2.5" DualSport lift with bilstein shocks and geometry brackets and couldn't be happier.

Yeah, I should edit my previous response to mention that if you get an AEV kit, it will ride better than stock and you couldn't be happier. The best part is that for the same price as other kits, they don't send you all those other BS parts like extended sway bar links or adjustable arms to adjust caster. And on a 2014, you get throw tools across the garage while you shit yourself with incredulity at the design of the Bilstein shocks and how it will take an hour (and some cutting with a dremel) to bolt them in.

Love my Rubicon Express 4.5" super flex short arm lift. Very complete lift kit, 1ton drag link flipped-stainless brake lines etc.. Used Fox factory series shocks. Added 1" spacers to help with extra weight of bumpers/winch etc. rides great with the 40" MTs
